CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ACT 1984
FEDERAL TERRITORY OF LABUAN (EXTENSION AND MODIFICATION OF THE
FEDERATION LIGHT DUES ACT 1953) ORDER 2014
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Constitution (Amendment)
(No. 2) Act 1984 [Act A585], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Federal Territory of Labuan
(Extension and Modification of the Federation Light Dues Act 1953) Order 2014.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 15 January 2014.
Extension of the Act and subsidiary legislation to the Federal Territory of Labuan 2.
(1)
The Federation Light Dues Act 1953 [Act 250], which in this Order is referred to as the “extended Act”, is extended to the Federal Territory of Labuan.
(2)
The subsidiary legislation made under the extended Act as set out in the
Second Schedule is extended to the Federal Territory of Labuan.
Modification of the extended Act and subsidiary legislation made thereunder 3.
(1)
The extended Act is modified in the manner as set out in the First
Schedule.
(2)
The subsidiary legislation made under the extended Act are modified in the manner as set out in the Second Schedule.
(3)
The subsidiary legislation made under the extended Act shall be read together with such corresponding alterations as to names or titles as may be necessary to bring the subsidiary legislation into accord with the provisions of the extended Act as so modified.
