(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026

  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 62(1)(n) of the Fire Services Act 1988 [Act 341], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Fire Services (Compounding of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2026. Amendment of regulation 7 2. The Fire Services (Compounding of Offences) Regulations 2000 [P.U. (A) 313/2000], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in regulation 7—

(a)

by substituting for subregulation (1) the following subregulation:

“(1)

A person who accepts an offer to compound an offence shall pay the amount specified in the notice of offer—

Director General or any Fire Officer authorized by him in writing;

by money order, postal order, cashier’s order, banker’s cheque or bank draft made payable to the

Director General of Fire and Rescue Department and crossed with the words “Account Payee Only” and shall be delivered personally or sent by registered post to the Director General of Fire and Rescue
