Opening note

Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 2(2) Akta Membaharui Undang-Undang (Perkahwinan dan Perceraian) 1976 [Akta 164], Yang di-Pertuan Agong, atas nasihat Hakim Besar Mahkamah Tinggi di Sabah dan Sarawak, memberi kepada Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen yang dinamakan dalam Jadual bidang kuasa untuk menguruskan apa-apa perkara di bawah Akta ini berkuat kuasa mulai 1 April 2025. Pembatalan 2. Pemberian bidang kuasa kepada Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen sebagaimana dalam Pemberitahuan Pemberian Bidang Kuasa kepada Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen (No. 2) 2023 yang disiarkan dalam P.U. (B) 202/2023 pada 14 Jun 2023 dibatalkan mulai tarikh Pemberitahuan ini berkuat kuasa.

NOTIFICATION OF CONFERMENT OF JURISDICTION

TO SESSIONS COURT JUDGE (NO. 2) 2025

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 2(2)

of the

Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 [Act 164], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Chief Judge of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak, confers upon the

Sessions

Court

Judges named in the

Schedule jurisdiction to deal with any matter under this Act with effect from 1 April 2025.

Revocation 2.

The conferment of jurisdiction to the Session Court Judges as in the Notification of Conferment of Jurisdiction to Sessions Court Judge (No. 2) 2023

published in P.U. (B) 202/2023 on 14 June 2023 is revoked from the date of this Notification comes into effect.
