Opening note

Preamble

  1. PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 2 Akta Kuarantin Tumbuhan 1976 [Akta 167], dalam takrif “tumbuhan berbahaya”, Menteri mengisytiharkan tumbuhan yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual sebagai tumbuhan berbahaya bagi maksud Akta.

Bahan tanaman tidak sah termasuklah apa-apa tumbuhan yang dibawa masuk atau yang dibiak daripada mana-mana bahan tanaman yang tidak melalui tatacara pengimportan dan pemeriksaan di pintu masuk, atau tatacara kuarantin selepas tumbuhan dibawa masuk sebagaimana yang berikut:

(a)

bagi Negeri Sabah dan Sarawak, di bawah Akta Kuarantin Tumbuhan 1976

[Akta 167]; dan

(b)

bagi Semenanjung Malaysia dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan, di bawah

Akta Perkhidmatan Kuarantin dan Pemeriksaan Malaysia 2011 [Akta 728].

PLANT QUARANTINE ACT 1976

DECLARATION OF NOXIOUS PLANT 2025

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Plant Quarantine Act 1976

[Act 167], in the definition of “noxious plant”, the Minister declares the plant specified in the Schedule to be noxious plant for the purposes of the Act.

Jadual

Unauthorized planting material includes any plant brought in or propagated from any planting material which does not pass through the importation and inspection procedures at the entry point, or the quarantine procedure after the plant is brought in as follows:

(a)

for the States of Sabah and Sarawak, under the Plant Quarantine Act 1976 [Act 167];

and

(b)

for the Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan, under the

Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Act 2011 [Act 728].
