Section 40

of Sabah Inland Fisheries And Aquaculture Enactment 2003

Section 40

(1)

No person shall –

(a)

engage in the aquaculture of; or

(b)

engage in the propagation, keeping or rearing in aquarium or fish containers; or

(c)

release into riverine waters; or

(d)

sell or place on the market, any fish specified as prohibited species.

(2)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
