Section 41

of Sabah Inland Fisheries And Aquaculture Enactment 2003

Section 41

(1)

No person shall –

(a)

fish; or

(b)

keep in his possession; or

(c)

sell or place on the market, any fish specified as protected species.

(2)

Any person who intends to breed protected species shall first obtain a permit issued by the Director.

(3)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.

Controlled species not to be cultured without a permit.
