Kaedah-Kaedah Kenderaan Motor (Pemeriksaan Berkala, Kelengkapan dan

Standard Pemeriksaan) 1995 [P.U. (A) 49/1995], yang disebut “Kaedah-Kaedah ibu”

dalam Kaedah-Kaedah ini, dipinda dalam kaedah 4—

(a)

dalam subperenggan (a)(i), dengan memasukkan selepas perkataan

“treler kontena” perkataan “dan semi-treler kontena”;

dalam subperenggan (a)(ii), dengan memotong perkataan “dan” di hujung subperenggan itu;

(c)

dalam subperenggan (a)(iii), dengan menggantikan koma bernoktah di hujung subperenggan itu dengan perkataan “; dan”;

(d)

dengan memasukkan selepas subperenggan (a)(iii) subperenggan yang berikut:

“(iv)

kategori kenderaan sekolah memandu;”;

dengan menggantikan perenggan (b) dengan perenggan yang berikut:

“(b)

bagi treler kontena dan semi-treler kontena pengeluaran baharu, sekali dalam tiap-tiap dua belas bulan bagi sepuluh tahun yang pertama dan selepas itu sekali dalam tiap-tiap enam bulan;”;

dalam perenggan (d), dengan memotong perkataan “dan” di hujung perenggan itu; dan

dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan (d) perenggan yang berikut:

bagi kategori kenderaan sekolah memandu yang telah mencapai usia tiga tahun dari tarikh pendaftaran kenderaan itu di bawah seksyen 7 Akta, sekali dalam tiap-tiap dua belas bulan bagi sepuluh tahun yang pertama dan selepas itu sekali dalam tiap-tiap enam bulan; dan”.

Peralihan

Mana-mana kategori kenderaan sekolah memandu yang mencapai usia tiga tahun dari tarikh pendaftaran kenderaan itu di bawah seksyen 7 Akta hendaklah, pada bila-bila masa dalam tempoh enam bulan dari tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Kaedah-Kaedah ini, menjalani pemeriksaan berkala mengikut Kaedah-Kaedah ibu sebagaimana yang dipinda oleh Kaedah-Kaedah ini.

ROAD TRANSPORT ACT 1987

MOTOR VEHICLES (PERIODIC INSPECTION, EQUIPMENT

AND INSPECTION STANDARD) (AMENDMENT) RULES 2024

Preamble

Suggest a fix
  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 66B and 66G of the Road Transport Act 1987 [Act 333], the Minister makes the following rules: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These rules may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Periodic Inspection,

Equipment and Inspection Standard) (Amendment) Rules 2024.

These Rules come into operation on 1 July 2024.

Amendmend of rule 4 2.

Motor Vehicles (Periodic Inspection, Equipment and Inspection Standard)

Rules 1995 [P.U. (A) 49/1995], which are referred to as the "principal Rules"

in these Rules, are amended in rule 4—

(a)

in subparagraph (a)(i), by inserting after the words “container’s trailer”

the words “and container’s semi-trailer”;

in subparagraph (a)(ii), by deleting the word “and” at the end of the subparagraph;

(c)

in subparagraph (a)(iii), by substituting for the semi-colon at the end of the subparagraph the words “; and”;

(d)

by inserting after subparagraph (a)(iii) the following subparagraph:

“(iv)

the category of driving school vehicle;”;

by substituting for paragraph (b) the following paragraph:

“(b)

for a newly manufactured container’s trailer and container’s semi-trailer, once in every twelve months for the first ten years and thereafter once in every six months;”;

in paragraph (d), by deleting the word “and” at the end of the paragraph;

and

Suggest a fix

(g)

by inserting after paragraph (d) the following paragraph:

“(da)

for the category of driving school vehicle which have reached the age of three years from the registration date of the vehicle under section 7 of the Act, once in every twelve months for the first ten years and thereafter once in every six months; and”.

Transitional 3.

Any category of driving school vehicle which have reached the age of three years from the registration dates of the vehicles under section 7 of the Act shall, at any time within the period of six months from the date of coming into operation of these Rules, undergo periodic inspection in accordance with the principal Rules as amended by these Rules.
