01 · Who these terms bind

They are an agreement between you and the operator of mylaw.my (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not, do not use the site.

If you use mylaw.my for an employer or a client, you accept these terms for them as well as for yourself.

02 · What the service is

mylaw.my reproduces Malaysia legal material published by official sources and adds a layer over it: structure, stable provision addresses, resolved cross-references, recorded amendment and citation relationships, search, and machine access over MCP. See about and methodology.

It is provided free of charge, as it is, and with no commitment that it will stay available. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it — including whole documents, features or the site itself — at any time.

03 · Not legal advice

Nothing on mylaw.my is legal advice, and using it creates no lawyer-client relationship. That includes the laws themselves, the summaries, statuses and relationships shown around them, and anything produced by the AI assistant or by an assistant connected over MCP. An AI answer can be wrong, incomplete, or right about a version of the law that has since changed.

For a matter that affects you, consult a practitioner qualified in Malaysia.

04 · Accuracy and currency

We take care over the corpus, but we do not warrant that any text here is accurate, complete, in force, or current. Parsing can misplace a provision; a source can be stale; a consolidation can lag the amendment that changed it; a relationship can be missing or wrong.

mylaw.my is not an official publisher and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any court, government body or official publisher. The official source is authoritative and is linked from every page. Verify against it before relying on anything here, and tell us what is wrong through the feedback form.

05 · Acceptable use

Read, search, quote and link freely — that is what the site is for. What you may not do:

• Hit the site hard enough to degrade it for anyone else, or work around rate limits, access controls or the terms of a token issued to you. Automated bulk collection needs our agreement first; ask, and use the MCP endpoint where it fits.
• Present mylaw.my as an official source, or present our pages as published or approved by a court, a government body or an official publisher.
• Use the site to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to attack it or the people who use it.
• Submit anything through the feedback or correction channels that you do not have the right to send us, or that is unlawful.

We may limit or block access that breaches this section.

06 · Accounts

You do not need an account to read anything. One exists so you can save laws and hold personal tokens for the MCP endpoint. Accounts are free.

Keep your sign-in and your tokens to yourself; anything done with them is treated as done by you. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, and you can ask us to close yours at any time — see the privacy policy for what happens to the data.

07 · The text and this site

The legal text is not ours. Legislation, judgments and other official material reproduced here belong to their publishers and are subject to whatever terms, copyright or Crown/Government rights those publishers assert. We claim nothing over it, and nothing here grants or restricts your rights in it — for that, go to the official source.

The layer around it is. The structuring of each work into addressable provisions, the resolved cross-references, the amendment and citation relationships, the editorial pages, the design, the code and the site name are ours or our licensors'. Quote them, cite them and link to them freely. Copying them wholesale — republishing the structured corpus or the relationship data as your own product — needs our permission.

If you send us a correction or feedback, you let us use it to improve the corpus. Keep a copy of anything you want to keep.

08 · Third parties and ads

Pages link to official publishers and other outside sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain.

The site carries advertising, which is what pays for it. Ads are served by a third party and are not endorsements; what an advertiser claims is between you and them. Advertising has no influence on the corpus. What ads mean for your data is in the privacy policy.

09 · Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, cost or damage arising from your use of mylaw.my or your reliance on anything in it — including loss of profit, business, data or goodwill, and including a decision taken on text that turned out to be inaccurate, out of date, or not in force.

The site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

10 · Changes and ending

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the version then published. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced elsewhere.

You can stop using mylaw.my at any time. Sections 03, 04, 07 and 09 survive.

11 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Malaysia, and disputes arising out of them are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If a term is unenforceable, the rest stands.

Nothing in this section affects any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
