(2)
Where the holder of a licence whose date of birth falls on 29 February, the date of expiry of his licence is either—
(a)
28 February, if the following application for renewal of the licence is made in a year which is not a leap year; or
(b)
29
February, if the following application for renewal of the licence is made in a year which is a leap year, as the case may be.
(3)
Upon receipt of the application for renewal of the licence—
(a)
the date of expiry of the licence shall be in accordance with the date of birth of the holder of a licence; and

Adjustment for the date of expiry of a licence.
(b)
the existing licence together with proof of payment and renewal of such licence shall be sufficient evidence that the holder of a licence is the holder of a valid licence.
(4)
The fee for renewal of the licence shall be as prescribed in item 1 of Table A of the Schedule.
(5)
Where the holder of a licence is the holder of a licence issued under the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of
Drivers) Rules 1965, the fee referred to in subrule (4) shall not apply.
(6)
If the application for renewal of the licence is made after the date of expiry of the licence, the fee to be charged shall be as prescribed in items 1 and 3 of Table A of the Schedule.
