- PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 73 Akta Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja 1991 [Akta 452], Lembaga membuat kaedah-kaedah yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Kaedah-Kaedah Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja 1991 [P.U. (A) 493/1991], yang disebut “Kaedah-Kaedah ibu” dalam Kaedah-Kaedah ini, dipinda dalam kaedah 34—
(i)
dengan memotong perkataan “secara bertulis”; dan
(ii)
dengan memotong perkataan “di hadapan seorang saksi, dan tandatangan ahli itu hendaklah diakusaksi oleh saksi itu”; dan

Kaedah-Kaedah ibu dipinda dalam perenggan 35(b) dengan menggantikan perkataan “keahlian” dengan perkataan “Kad Pengenalan”.

EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND (AMENDMENT) RULES 2016
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 [Act 452], the Board makes the following rules: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These rules may be cited as the Employees Provident Fund
(Amendment) Rules 2016.
(2)
These Rules come into operation on 1 January 2017.
Amendment of rule 34 2.
The Employees Provident Fund Rules 1991 [P.U. (A) 493/1991], which is referred to as the “principal Rules” in these Rules, are amended in rule 34—
(i)
by deleting the words “in writing”; and
(ii)
by deleting the words “in the presence of a witness, and the signature of such member shall be attested by the witness”; and
(b)
by deleting subrule (5).
Amendment of rule 35 3.
The principal Rules are amended in paragraph 35(b) by substituting for the word
“membership” the words “Identity Card”.
Amendment of rule 36 4.
The principal Rules are amended in rule 36 by deleting the words “in the presence of a witness, who shall attest the signature of such member”.

Deletion of Schedule 5.
The principal Rules are amended by deleting the Schedule.
