Pindaan kaedah 1
dalam Kaedah-Kaedah ini, dipinda dalam kaedah 1 dengan menggantikan perkataan
“Lockup Rules 1953” dengan perkataan “Lock-up Rules 1953”.

Kaedah baharu 36A
Kaedah-Kaedah ibu dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas kaedah 36 kaedah yang berikut:
“Infectious or contagious disease.
The Officer in Charge shall without delay, if any prisoner is found to be suffering from or have, any infectious or contagious disease, or is in a verminous condition—
take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the disease or condition to other prisoners; and

dengan menggantikan perkataan “the President of a Sessions Court”
dengan perkataan “a Sessions Court Judge”; dan
dengan memotong perkataan “for transmission to the Mentri Besar of the State or the Resident Commissioner of the Settlement”.

dengan menomborkan semula subkaedah 47(1) sedia ada sebagai kaedah 47.

LOCK-UP (AMENDMENT) RULES 2025
Opening note
by substituting for the word “lockups” wherever appearing the words
“lock-ups”;
by substituting for the words “Officer-in-Charge” wherever appearing the words “Officer in Charge”; and
by substituting for the words “Deputy-Officer-in-Charge” wherever appearing the words “Deputy Officer in Charge”.
Amendment of rule 9 4.
Rule 9 of principal Rules is amended by substituting for the word “shall”
the word “may”.

Rule 9A of the principal Rules is amended by substituting for the word “shall”
the word “may”.
Amendment of rule 12 6.
Rule 12 of the principal Rules is amended by substituting for the words
“the preceding day” the words “the same date”.

The principal Rules are amended by substituting for rule 13 the following rule:

The principal Rules are amended by substituting for rule 36 the following rule:

Rule 47 of the principal Rules is amended—
by renumbering the existing subrule 47(1) as rule 47.
