dengan takrif yang berikut:
‘ “token digital” ertinya suatu representasi digital yang direkodkan di atas suatu lejar digital teragih sama ada bersekuriti kriptografi atau selainnya tetapi tidak termasuk—
(a)
debentur, saham atau bon yang diterbitkan atau dicadangkan untuk diterbitkan oleh mana-mana kerajaan;
(b)
syer dalam atau debentur, sesuatu pertubuhan perbadanan atau pertubuhan yang tidak diperbadankan; atau
(c)
unit dalam suatu skim unit amanah atau pelaburan ditetapkan, dan termasuklah apa-apa hak, opsyen atau kepentingan yang berkenaan dengannya.’.

(DIGITAL CURRENCY AND DIGITAL TOKEN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 [Act 671], the Minister, on the recommendation of the Commission, makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Capital Markets and Services (Prescription of Securities) (Digital Currency and Digital Token) (Amendment) Order 2025. Amendment of paragraph 2 2. The Capital Markets and Services (Prescription of Securities) (Digital Currency and Digital Token) Order 2019 [P.U. (A) 12/2019] which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in paragraph 2, by substituting for the definition of “digital token” the following definition: ‘ “digital token” means a digital representation which is recorded on a distributed digital ledger whether cryptographically-secured or otherwise but does not include—
(a)
debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by any government;
(c)
units in a unit trust scheme or prescribed investments, and includes any right, option or interest in respect thereof.’.
