(1)
The Minister exempts any driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident which causes any damage or injury to animal or which does not cause any damage or injury to any person, the driver of the motor vehicle himself, any other vehicle, any public structure, any public property or any structure or property of any person from the application of subsection 52(2) of the Act.
(2)
The exemption under subrule (1) is subject to the conditions that—
(a)
the motor vehicle involved in the accident is a private vehicle; and
(b)
the driver of the motor vehicle shall report the accident in an online reporting system provided by the Royal Malaysia Police as soon as reasonably practicable and in any case within twenty-four hours of such accident.
