NOTICE OF NOMINATIONS OF MEMBERS OF THE MALAYSIAN OPTICAL COUNCIL

PURSUANT to regulation 8 of the Optical Regulations 1994 [P.U. (A) 210/1994], notice relating to the nominations of members of the Malaysian Optical Council is published in the Gazette:

Names of candidates 1.

(1)

The persons named in column (1) of the Schedule are the candidates for the vacant offices specified in column (2).

(2)

The persons named in column (3) and (4) of the Schedule are the proposers and seconders of the candidates.

Vacant offices 2.

The offices which are vacant and in respect of which elections are to be held are for—

(a)

two registered optometrists residing in Malaysia; and

(b)

two registered opticians residing in Malaysia.

Objections 3.

Objections may be made against any candidate and objections made after 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, 29 September 2022 shall not be accepted.
