Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts—

(a)

the United States of America Marine Special Troops from the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the “Flash Mint, Tiger Strike & TACP Shoot

Protection Force Exercise by the Malaysian Armed Forces – United States of

America Marines Special Troops”; and

(b)

the United States of America Marine Special Troops from the application of paragraphs 5(1)(a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the

“Flash Mint, Tiger Strike & TACP Shoot Protection Force Exercise by the

Malaysia Armed Forces – United States of America Marines Special Troops”.

This Notification is deemed to have effect for the period from 9 November 2016

to 14 November 2016.
