Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts the Special Troops of the United States Army from the application—
(a)
of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the “Keris Strike 2017 by the Malaysian
Armed Forces and the Special Troops of the United States Army”; and
(b)
of paragraphs 5(1)(a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the
“Keris Strike 2017 by the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Special Troops of the United States Army”.

This Notification is deemed to have effect for the period from 10 July 2017
to 20 September 2017.
