PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 65U Ordinan Perkapalan Saudagar 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], Menteri mengecualikan kapal yang bukan kapal Malaysia daripada pemakaian subseksyen 65KA(1) Ordinan berkenaan dengan perkhidmatan pengangkutan kargo—

(a)

dari mana-mana pelabuhan di Semenanjung Malaysia ke mana-mana pelabuhan di Sabah, Sarawak dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan dan sebaliknya;

(b)

dari mana-mana pelabuhan di Sabah ke mana-mana pelabuhan lain di Sabah; dan

(c)

dari mana-mana pelabuhan di Sarawak ke mana-mana pelabuhan lain di Sarawak, berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Jun 2017.

EXEMPTION UNDER SECTION 65U

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 65U of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], the Minister exempts non-Malaysian ships from the application of subsection 65KA(1) of the Ordinance in respect of the transport of cargo services—

(a)

from any port in the Peninsular Malaysia to any port in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan and vice versa;

(b)

from any port in Sabah to another port in Sabah; and

(c)

from any port in Sarawak to another port in Sarawak, with effect from 1 June 2017.
