CUSTOMS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2012

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 142(4) of the Customs Act 1967 [Act 235], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the

Customs (Amendment)

Regulations 2012.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 26 March 2012.

Amendment of regulation 3 2.

The Customs Regulations 1977 [P.U. (A) 162/1977], which are referred to as the

“principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in regulation 3

(a)

in subregulation (1), by inserting after proviso (xix) the following proviso:

“(xx) at Petrochemical and Maritime Industrial Hub, Tanjung Bin, Pontian,

Johor, the hours shall be

from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm on any day”; and

(b)

in subregulation (4), by inserting after proviso (xx) the following proviso:

“(xxi) at Petrochemical and Maritime Industrial Hub, Tanjung Bin,

Pontian, Johor, the hours shall be

from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm on any day”.
