“(1A) Mana-mana orang yang menjual susu mentah untuk dimakan terus oleh manusia hendaklah mengenakan perlakuan haba kepada susu itu—

dengan Kaedah Holding, apabila suhu susu tersebut dinaikkan kepada tidak kurang daripada 63°C dan tidak lebih daripada 65°C dan dikekalkan pada suhu tidak kurang daripada 63°C dan tidak lebih daripada 65°C sekurang-kurangnya selama 30 minit, dan sebaik sahaja selepas itu suhunya diturunkan dengan cepat kepada 4°C atau lebih rendah dan dikekalkan pada suhu tersebut dengan dilindungi dari pencemaran sehingga susu itu dipindahkan daripada premis itu untuk serahan; atau

dengan Kaedah Suhu Tinggi Masa Singkat, apabila suhu susu tersebut dinaikkan kepada tidak kurang daripada 73°C dan dikekalkan pada suhu itu sekurang-kurangnya selama 15 saat atau hubungan masa dan suhu yang setara dan sebaik sahaja selepas itu suhunya diturunkan kepada 4°C atau lebih rendah dan dikekalkan pada suhu tersebut dengan dilindungi daripada pencemaran sehingga susu itu dipindahkan dari premis itu untuk serahan.”; dan

FOOD HYGIENE (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2016

  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Food Act 1983 [Act 281], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Food Hygiene (Amendment)

Regulations 2016.

These Regulations come into operation on 1 December 2016.

Amendment of regulation 51 2.

The Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 [P.U. (A) 95/2009] are amended in regulation 51—

(a)

by inserting after subregulation (1) the following subregulation:

“(1A)

Any person who sells raw milk for direct human consumption shall subject the milk to heat treatment—

by being retained at a temperature of not less than 100°C for at least three minutes;

by being retained at a temperature of not less than 135°C for at least two seconds;

by the Holding Method, where the temperature of the milk is raised to not less than 63oC and not more than 65oC and retained at not less than 63oC and not more than 65o for at least 30 minutes and then immediately and rapidly reduced to 4oC or less and maintained at that temperature with protection

from contamination until the milk is removed from the premises for delivery; or

(d)

by the High Temperature Short Time Method, where the temperature of the milk is raised to not less than 73 oC and retained at the temperature for at least 15 seconds or its equivalent of time and temperature relationship and then immediately and rapidly reduced to 4oC or less and maintained at the temperature with protection from contamination until the milk is removed from the premises for delivery.”; and

in subregulation (3), by inserting after the word “(1)” the words “, (1A)”.
