[P.U. (A) 129/2000], yang disebut “Peraturan-Peraturan ibu” dalam Peraturan-Peraturan ini, dipinda dalam peraturan 2 dengan menggantikan takrif “fi lesen tahunan yang terpakai” dengan takrif yang berikut:
‘ “fi lesen tahunan yang terpakai” ertinya fi lesen tahunan yang terpakai yang dinyatakan dalam ruang 4 Susunan B Jadual Pertama;’.

Pindaan peraturan 33
Perenggan 33(3)(a) Peraturan-Peraturan ibu dipinda dengan menggantikan perkataan “RM50,000.00” dengan perkataan “satu ratus ribu ringgit”.

Pindaan Jadual Pertama
Peraturan-Peraturan ibu dipinda dalam Jadual Pertama dalam Susunan B, dengan menggantikan butir-butir dalam ruang 4 dengan butir-butir yang berikut:

A – B = C iaitu
A ialah Fi Lesen Tahunan Standard
B ialah Rebet atas Fi Lesen
C ialah Fi Lesen Tahunan Yang Terpakai”.

Apa-apa lesen individu yang telah dikeluarkan di bawah Peraturan-Peraturan ibu sebelum tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Peraturan-Peraturan ini hendaklah terus sah sehingga habis tempoh lesen individu itu atau pembatalan lesen individu itu seolah-olah
Peraturan-Peraturan ibu tidak dipinda oleh Peraturan-Peraturan ini.

COMMUNICATIONS AND MULTIMEDIA (LICENSING) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS 2024
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 [Act 588], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These regulations may be cited as the Communications and Multimedia
(Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.
(2)
These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2024.
Amendment of regulation 2 2.
The
Communications and
Multimedia
(Licensing)
Regulations 2000
[P.U. (A) 129/2000], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these
Regulations, are amended in regulation 2 by substituting for the definition of
“applicable annual licence fee” the following definition:
‘ “applicable annual licence fee” means applicable annual licence fee as specified in column 4 Table B of the First Schedule;’.
Amendment of regulation 33 3.
Paragraph 33(3)(a) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the words “RM50,000.00” the words “one hundred thousand ringgit”.
Amendment of First Schedule 4.
The principal Regulations are amended in the First Schedule in Table B, by substituting for the particulars in column 4 the following particulars:

“The applicable annual licence fee shall not be less than 0.15%
of gross turnover per licence or RM100,000.00 per licence, whichever is the greater and shall be determined in accordance with the following formula:
A – B = C where
A is the Standard Annual Licence Fee
B is the Rebates on Licence Fee
C is the Applicable Annual Licence Fee”.
Saving 5.
(1)
Any application for an individual licence or renewal of individual licence made under the principal Regulations which is pending immediately before the coming into operation of these Regulations shall be dealt with under the principal Regulations as if the principal Regulations had not been amended by these Regulations.
(2)
Any individual licence which has been issued under the principal
Regulations before the date of coming into operation of these Regulations shall remain valid until the expiry of the individual licence or the revocation of the individual licence as if the principal Regulations had not been amended by these Regulations.
