- PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 42 Akta Optik 1991 [Akta 469], Menteri, setelah berunding dengan Majlis, membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut: Nama

“Peraturan-Peraturan ibu” dalam Peraturan-Peraturan ini dipinda dalam peraturan 25
dengan menggantikan subperaturan 25(1) dengan subperaturan yang berikut:

Majlis boleh, secara am atau dalam hal mana-mana calon atau atau golongan calon, menjalankan suatu peperiksaan teori dan amali.”.

Peraturan-Peraturan ibu dipinda dengan menggantikan peraturan 27 dengan peraturan yang berikut:

Permohonan untuk menduduki peperiksaan amali hendaklah dikemukakan dalam dua salinan Borang 19 Jadual dan hendaklah sampai kepada Majlis sekurang-kurangnya empat minggu

sebelum hari pertama peperiksaan yang dicadangkan bersekali dengan fi sebanyak tujuh ratus ringgit.

OPTICAL REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) 2016
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Optical Act 1991 [Act 469], the Minister, after consultation with the Council, makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Optical Regulations (Amendment) 2016. Amendment of regulation 25 2. The Optical Regulations 1994 [P.U. (A) 210/1994], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in regulation 25 by substituting for subregulation 25(1) the following subregulation:

The Council may, either generally or in the case of any candidate or class of candidates, conduct a theory and practical examination.”.
Amendment of regulation 27 3.
The principal Regulations are amended by substituting for regulation 27 the following regulation:

An application to sit for the practical examination shall be submitted in duplicate in Form 19 of the Schedule and shall reach the
Council at least four weeks before the first day of the proposed examination together with a fee of seven hundred ringgit.

A candidate must obtain a pass in the theory examination before registering for the practical examination.”.
Amendment of Schedule 4.
The Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended—
(a)
by substituting for Form 18 the following form:
