melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi sepuluh ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi dua tahun atau kedua-duanya.”.

(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2018

  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 85(2)(a) and (h) of the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 [Act 800], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Employment Insurance System

(Registration and Contribution) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2018.

452/2017], which are referred to as the

“principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in regulation 6 by inserting after subregulation (2) the following subregulation:

“(3) Any employer who fails to comply with subregulation (2) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.”.

Amendment of regulation 9 3.

Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (2) the following subregulation:

“(3) Any employer who fails to comply with subregulation (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.”.

Amendment of regulation 10 4.

Regulation 10 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (3) the following subregulation:
