PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 29 Akta Timbang dan Sukat 1972 [Akta 71], Menteri membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Peraturan-peraturan ini bolehlah dinamakan Peraturan-Peraturan

Timbang dan Sukat (Pengkompaunan Kesalahan-Kesalahan) (Pindaan) 2020.

(2)

Peraturan-Peraturan ini mula berkuat kuasa pada 1 April 2020.

WEIGHTS AND MEASURES (COMPOUNDING OF OFFENCES)

(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2020

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Weights and Measures Act 1972 [Act 71], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Weights and Measures

(Compounding of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2020.

Substitution of regulation 2 2.

The Weights and Measures (Compounding of Offences) Regulations 1990

[P.U. (A) 208/1990], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these

Regulations, are amended by substituting regulation 2 the following regulation:

“Compoundable offences.

Seksyen 2

The offences specified in the First Schedule are prescribed to be compoundable offences.”.

Substitution of First Schedule 3.

The principal Regulations are amended by substituting for the First Schedule the following Schedule:
