EXCISE DUTIES (TIOMAN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2016

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 91I(1)(a) of the Excise Act 1976 [Act 176], the Minister makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Excise Duties (Tioman) (Amendment)

Order 2016.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 1 November 2016.

Amendment of paragraph 2 2.

The Excise Duties (Tioman) Order 2004 [P.U. (A) 242/2004] is amended in paragraph 2—

(a)

by inserting after the words “motor vehicles” the words “, intoxicating liquors, tobacco products and cigarettes”; and

(b)

by substituting for the words “prevailing specified rates” the words “rates specified in column 4 to the Schedule of the prevailing Excise Duties Order”.
