FEES ACT 1951

FEES (PHOTOGRAPH) (DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION MALAYSIA) ORDER 2024

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 10 of the Fees Act 1951 [Act 209], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the

(Photograph)

(Department of Information Malaysia) Order 2024.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 9 August 2024.

Interpretation 2.

In this Order—

“photograph” means a photograph in a digital form;

“Director

General”

means the

Director

General of the

Department of Information Malaysia.

Fees and payment of fees

3. The fees prescribed in column (3), (4) and (5) of the Schedule shall be paid to the Director General for the purchase of a photograph in accordance with the category of purchasers specified in column (1) and the category of photographs specified in column (2).

Remission of fees 4.

The Director General may remit the fees prescribed under this Order either wholly or in part, generally or in any particular case or class of cases.

“exclusive photograph” means a photograph of national leaders,

National Monument or national landmarks;

“historical photograph” means a photograph purchased more than the period of five years from the date of the photograph’s coverage.
