“Muzium” ertinya ruang atau kawasan di dalam bangunan yang telah diperakui oleh Ketua Pengarah sebagai muzium di bawah pentadbiran Jabatan Muzium Malaysia dan sebagaimana yang dikategorikan dalam Jadual Pertama;

“Pameran” ertinya “Pameran Khas Utama” atau “Pameran Khas” sebagaimana yang diperihalkan dalam Jadual Kedua.

Ketua Pengarah boleh, menurut budi bicaranya dalam mana-mana hal tertentu, meremit sama ada kesemua atau sebahagian daripada mana-mana fi yang ditetapkan di bawah Perintah ini.

2. Pameran hendaklah diperakui oleh Ketua Pengarah dan ditadbirkan dan diuruskan oleh Jabatan Muzium Malaysia.

FEES (MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION) (DEPARTMENT OF MUSEUMS MALAYSIA)

ORDER 2012

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 10 of the Fees Act 1951 [Act 209], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order:

Citation

Interpretation 2.

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires –

“Director General” means the Director General of the Department of Museums

Malaysia;

“Museum” means a space or an area in a building which has been certified by the

Director General as museum under the administration of the Department of Museums

Malaysia and as categorized in the First Schedule;

“Exhibition” means “Blockbuster Exhibition” or “Special Exhibition” as described in the Second Schedule.

Museum fees 3.

(1)

The fees prescribed in column (3) of the First Schedule shall be charged by the Department of Museums Malaysia for entrance into the Museum in respect of the category of visitors as stated in column (2) of the First Schedule.

(2)

Subject to subparagraph (1), the fee collected from a visitor for entrance into any Museum shall be collected once during the validity period as stated in column

This order may be cited as the Fees (Museum and Exhibition) (Department of

Museums Malaysia) Order 2012.

Exhibition fees 4.

(1)

The fees prescribed in column (3) of the Second Schedule shall be charged by the Department of Museums Malaysia for entrance into the Exhibition in respect of the category of visitors as stated in column (2) of the Second Schedule.

(2)

Subject to subparagraph (1), the fee collected from a visitor for entrance into any Exhibition shall be collected once during the validity period as stated in column

Other fees 5.

(1)

The fees prescribed in column (2) of the Third Schedule shall be charged by the Department of Museums Malaysia in respect of the matters as stated in column

(2)

Subject to subparagraph (1), the fee collected from a visitor in respect of the matters shall be collected once during the validity period as stated in column (3) of the Third Schedule.

Payment of fees

6. (1)

The fees prescribed under this Order shall be paid to the Department of

Museums Malaysia by persons to whom the facilities referred to in paragraphs 3, 4

and 5 are made available.

(2)

All fees prescribed under this Order shall be paid in full and credited into the Akaun Amanah Jabatan Muzium Malaysia set up under section 9 of the Financial

Procedure Act 1957 [Act 61].

Remission 7.

The Director General may, in his discretion in any particular case, remit either wholly or in part any fee prescribed under this Order.

In this Schedule, “Selected Museum” means museum under the administration of

Department of Museums Malaysia which has been selected by the Director General for the purpose of the fees charged.

1. In this Schedule, “Blockbuster Exhibition” and “Special Exhibition” are exhibitions to show or display any artifact or other materials for a specific period of time in a space or an area outside the museum.

2. The Exhibition shall be certified by the Director General and administered and managed by the Department of Museums Malaysia.
