Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Federal Roads Act 1959 [Act 376], the Minister, after consultation with the State Governments of Perak and Selangor, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Federal Roads (West Coast Expressway
(Taiping-Banting)) (Amendment) Order 2023.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 20 November 2023.
Amendment of paragraph 2 2.
The Federal Roads (West Coast Expressway (Taiping-Banting)) Order 2019
[P.U. (A) 150/2019], which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in subparagraph 2(1)—
(a)
in subsubparagraph (c), by substituting for the full stop at the end of the subsubparagraph a semicolon; and
(b)
by inserting after subsubparagraph (c) the following subsubparagraph:
“(d)
the part of the road known as the West Coast Expressway
(Taiping–Banting)
commencing from kilometre 40.07
at coordinates N 402412.484, E 356993.108 of the RSO Geocentric
(GDM 2000) Grid and ending at kilometre 62.12 at coordinates
N 423090.950, E 353934.636 of the RSO Geocentric (GDM 2000)

of the West Coast Expressway (Taiping-Banting) at the Banting
Interchange) including the Assam Jawa Toll Plaza, Assam Jawa
Interchange and its link roads, being a distance of 22.05 kilometre.”.
