PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES (AMENDMENT OF FIRST
SCHEDULE) ORDER 2016
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 30
of the
Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 [Act 342], the Minister makes the following order:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Prevention and Control of Infectious
Diseases (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2016.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 1 December 2016.
Amendment of First Schedule 2.
The First Schedule to the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988
is amended by substituting for Part I the following Part:
“PART I
1.
Avian influenza 2.
Chancroid 3.
Cholera 4.
Dengue fever and dengue haemorrhagic fever 5.
Diphtheria 6.
Dysenteries (All forms)
7.
Ebola 8.
Food poisoning 9.
Gonococcal infections (All forms)
10. Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)

11. Leprosy
12. Leptospirosis
13. Malaria
14. Measles
15. Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV)
