PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 54(7) Akta Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja 1991 [Akta 452], Menteri, setelah berunding dengan Lembaga, membuat perintah yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Seksyen 1

(1)

Perintah ini bolehlah dinamakan Perintah Kumpulan Wang Simpanan

Pekerja (Tambahan dan Ubah Suaian kepada Maksud Pengeluaran di bawah

Subseksyen 54(6)) 2021.

(2)

Perintah ini mula berkuat kuasa pada 15 Julai 2021.

Tambahan dan ubah suaian kepada maksud pengeluaran di bawah subseksyen 54(6)

Seksyen 2

Subseksyen 54(6) Akta ditambah dan diubah suai—

(a)

dengan memotong perkataan “dan” di hujung perenggan (k);

(b)

dengan menggantikan noktah di hujung perenggan (l) dengan perkataan

“; dan”; dan

(c)

dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan (l) perenggan yang berikut:

“(m) ahli Kumpulan Wang itu memerlukan pembiayaan untuk menambah pendapatannya bagi maksud kelangsungan hidup disebabkan oleh pelaksanaan Pelan Pemulihan Negara di bawah

Akta Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 1988

[Akta 342] untuk mengawal atau mencegah merebaknya

Penyakit Koronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).”.

EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND (ADDITION AND MODIFICATION TO THE PURPOSES

FOR WITHDRAWAL UNDER SUBSECTION 54(6)) ORDER 2021

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 54(7) of the Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 [Act 452], the Minister, after consulting the Board, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Employees Provident Fund (Addition and

Modification to the Purposes for Withdrawal under Subsection 54(6))

Order 2021.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 15 July 2021.

Addition and modification to the purposes for withdrawal under subsection 54(6)

Seksyen 2

Subsection 54(6) of the Act is added and modified—

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (k);

(b)

by substituting for the full stop at the end of paragraph (l) the words “; and”;

and

(c)

by inserting after paragraph (l) the following paragraph:

“(m) the member of the Fund requires financing to increase his income for the purposes of continuance of life due to the implementation of the National Recovery Plan under the Prevention and Control of

Infectious Diseases Act 1988 [Act 342] to control or prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).”.
