Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Ministerial Functions Act 1969 [Act 2], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Ministers of the Federal Government

(Amendment) Order 2020.

(2)

Subparagraph 2(a) is deemed to have come into operation on 3 January 2020.

(3)

Subparagraphs 2(b) and 2(c) are deemed to have come into operation on 21 May 2018.

Amendment of Schedule 2.

The Ministers of the Federal Government Order 2019 [P.U. (A) 132/2019]

is amended in the Schedule—

(a)

in respect of the Ministry of Education—

(i)

by substituting for the name “Dr. Maszlee bin Malik” in the “Person”

column the name “Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad”; and

(ii)

by substituting for the words

“21

May 2018”

in the “Style and Title/Date of Appointment” column appearing against the name “Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad” in the “Person”

column as amended, the words “3 January 2020”;

(b)

in respect of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, by deleting the item

“Economic Planning Unit (EPU)” in the “Department/Subject” column; and

in respect of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, by substituting for the item “Syarikat Perumahan Rakyat 1 Malaysia
