OPTICAL (AMENDMENT OF SECOND SCHEDULE) ORDER 2021

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Optical Act 1991 [Act 469], the Minister, after consulting the Council, makes the following order:

Citation 1.

This order may be cited as the Optical (Amendment of Second Schedule)

Order 2021.

Amendment of Second Schedule 2.

The Second Schedule to the Optical Act 1991 is amended, in relation to the country of “India”—

(a)

in the particulars relating to the item “- Elite School of Optometry, Madras”, by inserting after the words “Bachelor of Science in Optometry” the words

“(Not recognized after 31 July 2021)”; and

(b)

in the particulars relating to the item “- National Institute of Ophthalmic

Science, Malaysia”, by inserting after the words “Bachelor of Science in

Optometry” the words “(Not recognized after 31 July 2021)”.
