(AMENDMENT) ORDER 2016

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 42(2) of the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation Act 2011 [Act 720], the Minister, on the recommendation of the Corporation, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation

(Deposit Insurance Limit) (Amendment) Order 2016.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 27 June 2016.

Amendment of paragraph 2 2.

The Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation (Deposit Insurance Limit) Order 2011

[P.U. (A) 26/2011], which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in paragraph 2—

(a)

in the shoulder note, by substituting for the words “Maximum amount” the words “Maximum limit”; and

(b)

by substituting for the words “maximum amount” the words “maximum limit”.

Amendment of paragraph 3 3.

The principal Order is amended in paragraph 3—

(a)

in the shoulder note, by substituting for the words “Maximum amount” the words “Maximum limit”; and

by substituting for the words
