TRADE DESCRIPTIONS (CERTIFICATION AND MARKING OF HALAL)
(AMENDMENT) ORDER 2023
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Trade Descriptions Act 2011 [Act 730], the Minister makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) (Amendment) Order 2023.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 2 October 2023.
Amendment of paragraph 5 2.
The Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) Order 2011
[P.U. (A) 431/2011], which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in subparagraph 5(2) by inserting after the word “name” the words “and logo”.
Amendment of paragraph 6 3.
Subparagraph 6(1) of the principal Order is amended by inserting after the words “First Schedule” the words “or Second Schedule, as the case may be,”.
Substitution of Second Schedule 4.
The principal Order is amended by substituting for the Second Schedule the following schedule:
