FINANCIAL SERVICES ACT 2013

FINANCIAL SERVICES (EXEMPTION OF FEES) ORDER 2020

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 263

of the

Financial Services Act 2013 [Act 758], the Minister, on the recommendation of the Bank, makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Financial Services (Exemption of Fees)

Order 2020.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 15 October 2020.

Exemption of fees 2.

The Minister exempts—

(a)

an approved insurance broker and an approved financial adviser from the requirements of paragraph 26(1)(a) of the Act in respect of payment of an annual fee as specified in items 1 and 2 of the Second Schedule to the Financial Services (Fees) Regulations 2014 [P.U. (A) 331/2014] for the year 2020; and

(b)

a registered adjuster from the requirements of paragraph 26(1)(a) of the Act in respect of payment of a registration fee as specified in the Third Schedule to the Financial Services (Fees) Regulations 2014 [P.U. (A) 331/2014] for the year 2021.
