Menteri mengecualikan mana-mana orang yang menggunakan racun makhluk perosak daripada kehendak untuk menggunakan mengikut penggunaan, sebagaimana yang diluluskan oleh Lembaga di bawah perenggan 53A(1)(b) Akta, yang dinyatakan pada label, tertakluk kepada syarat yang berikut:

PESTICIDES ACT 1974

PESTICIDES (EXEMPTION) ORDER 2020

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 59

of the

Pesticides Act 1974 [Act 149], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Pesticides (Exemption) Order 2020.

(2)

This Order has effect for the period from 15 January 2020

to 15 January 2025.

Exemption 2.

The Minister exempts any person who uses pesticides from the requirement to use in accordance with the uses, as approved by the Board under paragraph 53A(1)(b) of the Act, stipulated on the label, subject to the following conditions:

(a)

the use of pesticides shall be limited to the control of Red Palm Weevils

(Rhynchophorus ferrugineus and Rhynchophorus vulneratus) which are pests found on coconut plant, ornamental palm and other types of palm plants; and

(b)

the use of pesticides shall be limited to pesticides which contain active ingredients according to the formulation, as specified in the Schedule.
