PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh perenggan 26(b) Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti 1971 [Akta 30], Yang di-Pertuan Agong, atas nasihat Menteri, membuat perintah yang berikut: Nama

Seksyen 1

Perintah ini bolehlah dinamakan Perintah Universiti dan Kolej Universiti

(Pengubahan dan Penambahan kepada, Perlembagaan) (Universiti Putra

Malaysia) (Pindaan) 2012.

Seksyen 2

Pindaan Jadual

Penambahan kepada, Perlembagaan) (Universiti Putra Malaysia) 2010

(a)

dalam butiran 3, dalam ruang (2), dengan menggantikan butir-butir yang berikut:

“(3)

Bagi mengelakkan keraguan, kuasa di bawah subseksyen (1)

boleh dijalankan oleh Lembaga, kecuali kuasa di bawah perenggan (1)(a),

(b)

, (c), (d), (e), (g), (l) dan (o) yang hendaklah dijalankan oleh Senat.”

Bagi mengelakkan keraguan, kuasa di bawah subseksyen (1)

Pustakawan dan Penasihat Undang-Undang hendaklah ditetapkan oleh Lembaga.”

Tertakluk kepada peruntukan Perlembagaan ini, syarat pelantikan Pendaftar, Bursar, Ketua Pustakawan dan Penasihat

Undang-Undang hendaklah ditentukan oleh Lembaga.”; dan

dengan memasukkan selepas butir-butir yang berikut:

“(4)

Tertakluk kepada peruntukan Perlembagaan ini, terma dan syarat lain pelantikan bagi Pendaftar, Bursar, Ketua

Pustakawan dan Penasihat Undang-Undang hendaklah ditetapkan oleh Lembaga.”

Seseorang yang dilantik sebagai Pendaftar, Bursar dan

Penasihat

Undang-Undang hendaklah, melainkan jika dia meletakkan jawatan atau mengosongkan jawatannya atau pelantikannya dibatalkan, memegang jawatan selama tempoh yang tidak melebihi tiga tahun dan apabila tempoh itu habis, Pendaftar,

Bursar dan Penasihat Undang-Undang itu adalah layak untuk dilantik semula.

Seseorang yang dilantik sebagai Ketua Pustakawan hendaklah memegang jawatan selama tempoh yang ditetapkan oleh Lembaga.

(7)

Pelantikan Pendaftar, Bursar, Ketua Pustakawan dan

Penasihat Undang-Undang boleh, pada bila-bila masa, dibatalkan oleh Lembaga dengan menyatakan sebab bagi pembatalan itu.”;

dalam butiran 15, dengan memasukkan sebelum subbutiran “ – subseksyen

CONSTITUTION) (UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2012

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 26(b) of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 [Act 30], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Minister, makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Universities and University Colleges (Variation of and Addition to, the Constitution) (Universiti Putra Malaysia) (Amendment) Order 2012. Amendment of Schedule 2. The Schedule to the Universities and University Colleges (Variation of and Addition to, the Constitution) (Universiti Putra Malaysia) Order 2010 [P.U. (A) 447/2010] is amended—

(a)

in item 3, in column (2), by substituting for the following particulars:

“(3)

For the avoidance of doubt, the powers under subsection (1)

may be exercised by the Board, except the powers under paragraphs

(1)

(a)

, (b), (c), (d), (e), (g), (l) and (o) which shall be exercised by the

Senate.”

the following particulars:

“(3)

A person appointed as the Chief Librarian shall hold office for a period as determined by the Board.

The appointment of the Registrar, the Bursar, the Chief

Librarian and the Legal Adviser may, at any time, be revoked by the Board stating the reason for such revocation.”;

(c)

in item 15, by inserting before subitem “ – subsection (3)” and the particulars relating to it as specified in column (2) the following subitem and particulars relating to it:

“(1) The Authorities of the University shall be the Board, the Senate, the

Management Committee of the University or by whatever name it may be referred to, the Faculties, the Schools, the Centres, the

Academies, the Institutes, the Studies

Committee, the Selection Committees, the

Student Welfare Committee, the Students’

Complaints Committee and such other bodies as may be prescribed by statute as

Authorities of the University.”.’;

in item 21, in column (2), by substituting for the following particulars:
