Preamble
- PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 8(3) Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti 1971 [Akta 30], Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat perintah yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa
Seksyen 2
Perlembagaan Universiti Malaysia Pahang [P.U. (A) 464/2010], yang disebut
“Perlembagaan” dalam Perintah ini, dipinda dalam seksyen 1 dengan menggantikan perkataan “Universiti Malaysia Pahang” dengan perkataan “Universiti Malaysia Pahang
Al-Sultan Abdullah”.

Pindaan seksyen 57
(a)
dalam subseksyen (5), dengan menggantikan perkataan “satu tahun”
dengan perkataan “satu tahun akademik”;
(b)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (5) subseksyen yang berikut:
“(5A)
Walau apa pun subseksyen (5), Lembaga boleh mengurangkan atau melanjutkan tempoh keahlian MPP dan pemegang jawatannya.”;
(d)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (11) sebagaimana yang dipotong subseksyen yang berikut:
“(11A) Universiti boleh menubuhkan apa-apa kumpulan wang atau memiliki apa-apa harta untuk diuruskan atau disenggara oleh MPP mengikut tatacara kewangan Universiti.
(11B)
Walau apa pun subseksyen (11A), MPP boleh, tertakluk kepada mana-mana undang-undang bertulis, menubuhkan, menguruskan atau menyenggara apa-apa kumpulan wang mengikut cara sebagaimana yang ditetapkan dalam peraturan-peraturan yang dibuat oleh Lembaga.”; dan
(e)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (12) subseksyen yang berikut:
“(12A) Bagi maksud seksyen 15A Akta, Lembaga boleh membuat peraturan-peraturan untuk menetapkan cara bagi pembuatan atau penganjuran atau pengambilan bahagian dalam pungutan wang atau penerimaan wang atau sumbangan lain oleh MPP.”.

(CONSTITUTION OF THE UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG)
(AMENDMENT) ORDER 2024
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 8(3) of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 [Act 30], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Universities and University Colleges
(Constitution of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang) (Amendment) Order 2024.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 2 October 2024.
Amendment of section 1 2.
The Constitution of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang [P.U. (A) 464/2010], which is referred to as “the Constitution” in this Order, is amended in section 1 by substituting for the words “the Universiti Malaysia Pahang” the words “the Universiti Malaysia Pahang
Al-Sultan Abdullah”.
Amendment of section 57 3.
Section 57 of the Constitution is amended—
(a)
in subsection (5), by substituting for the words “one year” the words
“one academic year”;
(b)
by inserting after subsection (5) the following subsection:
“(5A)
Notwithstanding subsection (5), the Board may reduce or extend the period of membership of the SRC and its office-bearers.”;
(d)
by inserting after subsection (11) as deleted the following subsections:
“(11A) The University may establish any fund or own any property to be managed or maintained by the SRC in accordance with the financial procedure of the University.
(11B)
Notwithstanding subsection (11A), the SRC may, subject to any written law, establish, manage or maintain any fund in the manner as may be prescribed in the regulations made by the Board.”; and
(e)
by inserting after subsection (12) the following subsection:
“(12A) For the purposes of section 15A of the Act, the Board may make regulations to prescribe the manner for the making or organizing of or the taking part in the collection of money or the receiving of money or other contributions by the SRC.”.
