PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 5 dan 6 Ordinan Perkapalan Saudagar 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], Menteri mengisytiharkan Desaru dalam Negeri Johor sebagai suatu pelabuhan mengikut pengertian Ordinan. Pindaan Pemberitahuan Undang-Undang No. 73 tahun 1953 2. Bagi maksud menentukan had pelabuhan, Pemberitahuan Undang-Undang No. 73 tahun 1953 [L.N. 73/1953] dipinda dalam Jadual Pertama, berkenaan dengan Negeri Johor, dengan memasukkan selepas butiran 21A butiran yang berikut:

OF THE MERCHANT SHIPPING ORDINANCE 1952

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], the Minister declares Desaru in the State of Johore as a port within the meaning of the Ordinance. Amendment of Legal Notification No. 73 of 1953 2. For the purpose of defining the port limit, the Legal Notification No. 73 of 1953 [L.N. 73/1953] is amended in the First Schedule, in respect of the State of Johore, by inserting after item 21A the following item:
