- BAHAWASANYA Fasal (1) Perkara 55 Perlembagaan Persekutuan memperuntukkan bahawa BETA hendaklah dari semasa ke semasa memanggil Parlimen: MAKA OLEH YANG DEMIKIAN, BETA, AL-SULTAN ABDULLAH RI’AYATUDDIN AL-MUSTAFA BILLAH SHAH IBNI ALMARHUM SULTAN HAJI AHMAD SHAH AL-MUSTA’IN BILLAH, dengan Kurnia Allah, Yang di-Pertuan Agong bagi Negeri-Negeri dan wilayah-wilayah Malaysia, pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan kepada BETA sebagaimana yang tersebut di atas DENGAN INI MEMANGGIL Parlimen dan menetapkan sembilan hari bulan Mac*, dua ribu dua puluh dan pukul sepuluh pagi sebagai tarikh dan waktu bagi Mesyuarat Pertama Penggal Ketiga Parlimen Malaysia Yang Keempat Belas, yang akan diadakan di Bangunan Parlimen di Kuala Lumpur, Ibu Kota Persekutuan. - WHEREAS Clause (1) of Article 55 of the Federal Constitution provides that WE shall from time to time summon Parliament: NOW THEREFORE, WE, AL-SULTAN ABDULLAH RI’AYATUDDIN AL-MUSTAFA BILLAH SHAH IBNI ALMARHUM SULTAN HAJI AHMAD SHAH AL-MUSTA’IN BILLAH, by the Grace of Allah, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of the States and territories of Malaysia, in exercise of the powers conferred on US as aforesaid DO HEREBY SUMMON Parliament and appoint the ninth day of March*, two thousand twenty and the hour of ten in the morning as the date and time for the First Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourteenth Parliament of Malaysia, to be held in the Parliament House in Kuala Lumpur, the Federal Capital. GIVEN at OUR Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur, the Federal Capital, this fourteenth day of February, two thousand twenty. [BKPP.S.700-6/1/1 Jld.4(26); PN(PU2)646/II] P.U. (A) 144 5 __________________________________ *The date 9 March 2020 appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for the First Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourteenth Parliament had been varied by the Prime Minister, as the Leader of the House, to 18 May 2020 in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the proviso to paragraph (2) of Standing Order 11 of the Standing Orders of the Dewan Rakyat.
