MALAYSIAN BIOFUEL INDUSTRY (BLENDING PERCENTAGE AND MANDATORY USE)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 4(a) and (b) and section 55 of the
Malaysian Biofuel Act 2007 [Act 666], the Minister makes the following regulations:

Citation, commencement and application 1.
(1)
These regulations may be cited as the Malaysian Biofuel Industry
(Blending Percentage and Mandatory Use) Regulations 2011.

(2)
These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2011.

(3)
These Regulations apply to the states of Selangor, Malacca, Negeri
Sembilan, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Federal Territory of Putrajaya.

Type, percentage and mandatory use 2.
(1)
The type of biofuel blended with any other fuel and its blending percentage for the use of transportation and industrial activities shall be as specified in the Schedule.

(2)
A licensee who produces, blends, transports or stores any biofuel blended with any other fuel other than the biofuel blended with any other biofuel as specified in the Schedule for the use of transportation and industrial activities commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
