[L.N. 173/1959], yang disebut “Kaedah-Kaedah ibu” dalam Kaedah-Kaedah ini, dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas kaedah 7 kaedah-kaedah yang berikut:
“Re-assignment of registration number for motor vehicle which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of Malaysia
A registered owner of a motor vehicle may make an application to the Director for the re-assignment of the registration number of a motor vehicle, which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of
Malaysia, as the case may be, to a motor vehicle which has not been previously registered.
The application for the re-assignment of the registration number referred to in subrule (1) shall be made in form JPJ K1A in the First Schedule.
The Director, upon allowing the application made in subrule (2), may—

Fee for re-assignment of registration number
re-assign the registration number to a motor vehicle which has not been previously registered;
withdraw the registration number of the motor vehicle which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of Malaysia; or
assign a new registration number to a motor vehicle which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of Malaysia.
The fee to be paid for the purpose of rule 7A shall be as set out in item 10 of the Fourth Schedule.”.

Opening note
These rules may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Registration and
Licensing) (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 2012.
The Motor Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Rules 1959 [L.N. 173/1959], which are referred to as the “principal Rules” in these Rules, are amended by inserting after rule 7 the following rules:
“Re-assignment of registration number for motor vehicle which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of Malaysia
A registered owner of a motor vehicle may make an application to the Director for the re-assignment of the registration number of a motor vehicle, which has been reported to be lost, stolen, broken up, destroyed or sent permanently out of
Malaysia, as the case may be, to a motor vehicle which has not been previously registered.
The application for the re-assignment of the registration number referred to in subrule (1) shall be made in form JPJ K1A in the First Schedule.
