PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 16 Akta Pilihan Raya 1958 [Akta 19], Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya, dengan kelulusan Yang di-Pertuan Agong, membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Peraturan-peraturan ini bolehlah dinamakan Peraturan-Peraturan

Pilihan Raya (Penjalanan Pilihan Raya) (Pindaan) 2013.

Setiap kertas penamaan hendaklah juga mengandungi masing-masing tandatangan calon, pencadang, penyokong dan saksi yang di hadapannya calon itu menurunkan tandatangannya.”.

ELECTIONS ACT 1958

ELECTIONS (CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2013

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Elections Act 1958 [Act 19], the Election Commission, with the approval of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Elections (Conduct of Elections)

(Amendment) Regulations 2013.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 9 April 2013.

Amendment of regulation 4 2.

The Elections (Conduct of Elections) Regulations 1981 [P.U. (A) 386/1981] are amended by substituting for subregulation 4(5) the following subregulation:

“(5)

Each nomination paper shall also bear the respective signatures of the candidate, the proposer, the seconder and the witness in the presence of whom the candidate affixes his signature.”.
