ROAD TRANSPORT ACT 1987

LOCAL SPEED LIMIT (FEDERAL ROADS) (SPECIFIED TIME PROHIBITION)

ORDER 2016

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 69(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987

[Act 333], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement

1. (1)

This order may be cited as the Local Speed Limit (Federal Roads)

(Specified Time Prohibition) Order 2016.

(2)

This Order has effect from 2 February 2016 to 16 February 2016.

Prohibition

2. (1)

The driving of motor vehicles at a speed greater than 80 kilometres per hour over all Federal roads in Malaysia, other than the roads specified in the

First Schedule to the Local Speed Limit (Federal Roads) (West Malaysia) Order 1992

[P.U. (A) 462/1991], is prohibited.

(2)

The prohibition in subparagraph (1) shall cease to have effect upon the expiry of this Order.
