NATIONAL LAND CODE

NATIONAL LAND CODE (AMENDMENT OF FIRST AND TENTH SCHEDULES)

ORDER 2016

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 9(2) National Land Code

[Act No. 56 1965], the Minister, on the recommendation of National Land Council, makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the National Land Code (Amendment of First and Tenth Schedules) Order 2016.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 1 January 2017.

Amendment of First Schedule 2.

National Land Code which is referred to as “the principal Act” in this Order is amended in the First Schedule—

(a)

in Form 2B—

(i)

in the second paragraph (b)―

(A)

by substituting the words “new title/s” the words “*new title/s”;

(B)

by inserting after the words “in continuation thereof” the words

“or upon conversion”; and

(C)

by inserting after the words “ready for collection” the words

“/title/s upon realienation will be issued”; and

“*(ba) to produce the said document/s for the purpose of cancellation or for making of new memorial in respect of the said document of titles.”;

(b)

in Form 4D―

(i)

by inserting after the words “Land Administrator” the words

“/Authorized Officer”; and

(c)

in Form 5A―

(i)

by substituting for the words “[Sections 81 and 82]” the words

“[Sections 81, 82 and 90A];

The Tenth Schedule to the principal Act is amended—

by substituting for the word “11” the word “11A”; and

(b)

in paragraph 6, by inserting after the words “the blurring of ink, and which”

the words “in the case of dealings,”;

(c)

in paragraph 8, by substituting for the word “All” the words “In the case of dealings, all”; and

(d)

in paragraph 8A―

(i)

by substituting for the word “on” the word “above”; and
