FACTORIES AND MACHINERY (EXEMPTION TO PETRONAS CHEMICALS ETHYLENE

SDN. BHD., KERTIH, TERENGGANU) ORDER 2020

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 55(3) of the Factories and Machinery Act 1967 [Act 139], the Minister makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Factories and Machinery (Exemption to PETRONAS Chemicals Ethylene Sdn. Bhd., Kertih, Terengganu) Order 2020. Exemption 2. Machinery registered with the Chief Inspector, with the registration number of PMT 70091 that is unfired pressure vessel in the name of PETRONAS Chemicals Ethylene Sdn. Bhd., Kertih, Terengganu which have been issued with certificate of fitness, shall be exempted from the preparation required under regulation 20 of the Factories and Machinery (Special Scheme of Inspection) (Risk-Based Inspection) Regulations 2014 [P.U.

for subsequent regular inspections from 22 April 2020 until 21 July 2020 after the expiry of such certificate of fitness on 21 April 2020.

Condition of exemption 3.

The exemption under paragraph 2 is subject to the conditions that the machinery specified in paragraph 2 undergoes an external inspection and non-destructive tests, and the Inspector is satisfied with the result of such inspection and tests.
