Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Federal Roads Act 1959 [Act 376], the Minister, after consultation with the State Government of Kedah, makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Federal Roads (West Malaysia)

(Amendment) (No. 11) Order 2020.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 24 December 2020.

Amendment of First Schedule 2.

The Federal Roads (West Malaysia) Order 1989 [P.U. (A) 401/1989] is amended in the First Schedule—

(a)

under the heading of “Negeri Kedah Darul Aman” by inserting after item 65 the following item:

“66.

(Route 271): Pulau Bunting Road

Starting from the junction of Route 1, Alor Setar—Butterworth Road at coordinates N 5.848194, E 100.462831 and ending at coordinates

N 5.878868, E 100.351933 within the boundaries of right of way as shown on MAP: PULAU BUNTING ROAD (a distance of 15.179 km).”;

and

(b)

by inserting after MAP: SUNGAI LAYAR—SEMELING ROAD the following map:
