Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 69(2)(a) of the Co-operative Societies Act 1993 [Act 502], the Commission makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Co-operative Societies (Assumption of Control of Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad) (Appointment) Order 2023. Assumption of control 2. The Commission appoints Dato’ Haji Zazali bin Haron to assume control of the whole of the property, business, activities and affairs of the Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad, and carry on the whole of its business, activities and affairs for the period from 26 March 2023 to 25 March 2024 or until a new Board is elected under the by-laws of the Koperasi, whichever is earlier. Costs, expenses and remuneration 3. Any costs and expenses incurred by the Commission, and the remuneration of the person appointed under paragraph 2, in relation to the assumption of control under paragraph 2 shall be payable out of the funds and properties of the Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad as a first charge.
