- PURSUANT to the interpretation of “police district” or “police division” under subsection 2(1) and the power given under paragraph 6(b) of the Police Act 1967 [Act 344], the Inspector General of Police has designated the following Police Districts for the State of Sarawak with effect from 31 May 2011: Kuching Police - Lundu Police District Division Bau Police District South Kuching Police District North Kuching Police District Padawan Police District Samarahan Police - Kota Samarahan Police District Division Serian Police District Simunjan Police District Sri Aman Police - Sri Aman Police District Division Saratok Police District Betong Police District Lubok Antu Police District Sarikei Police - Sarikei Police District Division Maradong Police District Matu / Daro Police District Julau Police District Sibu Police - Sibu Police District Division Dalat Police District Mukah Police District Kanowit Police District Bintulu Police - Bintulu Police District Division Tatau Police District Kapit Police - Belaga Police District Division Kapit Police District Song Police District Miri Police - Miri Police District Division Marudi Police District Limbang Police - Limbang Police District Division Lawas Police District, P.U. (B) 388 5 The areas and boundaries of such Police Districts shall be as delineated in the Gazette Plan MISC No. 60373/3 dated 14 October 2011 deposited in the Office of the Director of Survey and Land, Sarawak. Revocation 2. The Designation of Police Districts (Sarawak) published in P.U. (B) 583 on 2 December 1993 is revoked.
