- IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 1(2) of the National Land Code (Amendment) Act 2016 [Act A1516], the Minister, with the approval of the National Land Council, appoints 1 January 2017 as the date on which the Act comes into operation in the States of Johore, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Selangor and Terengganu except sections 34, 35, 45, 48, 49, 56 and 76.
