Preamble
- PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 5 dan 6 Ordinan Perkapalan Saudagar 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], Menteri mengisytiharkan Desaru dalam Negeri Johor sebagai suatu pelabuhan mengikut pengertian Ordinan. Pindaan Pemberitahuan Undang-Undang No. 73 tahun 1953 2. Bagi maksud menentukan had pelabuhan, Pemberitahuan Undang-Undang No. 73 tahun 1953 [L.N. 73/1953] dipinda dalam Jadual Pertama, berkenaan dengan Negeri Johor, dengan memasukkan selepas butiran 21A butiran yang berikut:
- FIRST SCHEDULE State of Johore
- First column Second column “21B. Desaru The areas enclosed by the following imaginary lines:

Latitude 01° 30.0’ North, Longitude 104° 16.5’
East until reaching the coastline of Desaru, thence along the coastline northwards returning to position (A), including all rivers and tributaries flowing into these waters and all piers, jetties, landing-places, wharves, quays, docks and other similar works, whether within or without the line of high-water mark, and

any portion of the shore or bank within 45.72 meters of high-water mark, subject to any rights of private property therein.”.

Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952 [Ord. 70/1952], the Minister declares Desaru in the State of Johore as a port within the meaning of the Ordinance. Amendment of Legal Notification No. 73 of 1953 2. For the purpose of defining the port limit, the Legal Notification No. 73 of 1953 [L.N. 73/1953] is amended in the First Schedule, in respect of the State of Johore, by inserting after item 21A the following item:
